IX Wind and Sif join forces in Taiwan
Sif and IX Wind have announced that from September 2018 IX will be supporting Sif in their deployment in Taiwan, making the offshore wind industry in Taiwan more accessible for the internationally leading offshore foundation manufacturer from the Netherlands. At the moment, Sif is predominately active in north-western Europe, but is actively expanding its business to other continents.
Michel Kurstjens, CCO of Sif: “To support our local presence in Taiwan and to liaise with our partner Century Steel, we are pleased to work with IX Wind. It will ensure swift and short communication lines between all local stakeholders, our Manager New Markets Peter Coppens based in The Netherlands and our local partner Century Steel”.
‘We are very pleased with this cooperation,’ says Eric Kamphues, director and owner of IX Wind. ‘Sif has a proven track record of being a very reliable business partner and in a constantly changing and growing business like offshore wind, reliability is key for any successful project.’
Sif, founded in 1948, has produced more than 1700 foundations for offshore foundations in the past 70 years of history. Sif has a proven track record of delivery of high quality, in time, safe and within budget. Sif continuously invests in production equipment, in enlarging the production envelope to produce XL monopiles. These investments enable Sif to support customers in our common goal to lower the cost of energy.
